In Alistair Darling's apologising for his havering about over the Capital Gains at the CBI, he said that CG is in itself the result of rises in the economy (pending precise quote).

Kenneth Clarke Gordon Brown. Gordon Brown is responsible for the economic success so Gordon Brown is the source of all the gains that are being taxed under Capital Gains, ergo, Gordon is SO VERY GENEROUS in letting all those company owners keep so much of the money that has been created by Him.
It would be funny if it were not for the fact that I do think that many people actually believe such drivel.
